Merry Christmas!

Em had an amazing (very spoiled) Christmas. I love this girl so much! I have a ton more pics, I'll do a longer post later but just a few in case time gets away from me!!

It's been a little challenging to get in the Christmas spirit with this warm weather, but we are trying! Sunday we spent the morning wrapping presents (and Em saying out loud everything I was getting as she helped Daddy wrap...opps) and then had a holiday party at my work. A few more days of work/school left and then we are all off for 2 weeks! Can't wait! Also, below are a few more pics of baby Mullen!

My doctor's appointment this week went great! I have a whole bunch of pics, so I'll try to post a few more, but wanted to get this on (just in case of forgot!). Look at that cute little profile-already so in love! Baby Mullen looked great-measuring 3 days ahead, HR 173 (so I'm thinking girl again...but we'll see!). The baby was moving all around and opening and closing their hands, it was just really cute.

I was am also doing well, only gained 1 pound so far (thank God since I'm supposed to stay between 15-20 for the whole pregnancy). I'm starting to feel a bit better. Less morning sickness, and have actually made it past 9pm the last few nights! My hips have already started to hurt, so trying to do lots of stretching to help. Hoping to get all of my energy back in the next week so I can enjoy my 2 weeks off of work with Em and Chris! (such a blessing to get this family time together!).

Holiday Spirit!

We are getting into the holiday spirit in the Mullen household! On Saturday we went to the outlets-I swear Em has outgrown all of her clothes and shoes in the past two weeks (just the expense you want right before Christmas!). Em got to ride the train and meet Santa! She was pretty stoked! On Sunday Nana took Em to see The Nutcracker. She sat mesmerized through the entire 2 hour show! Our little girl is growing up for sure!

I have a doctor appointment  this week on Thursday, so I'll update then! I'm starting to feel somewhat more human! I even stayed up past Em (keep in mind she want to bed at 7pm) last night to wrap presents. Oh, and did like 15 loads of laundry over the course of the weekend...been slacking a bit on that lately!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for-this year and every year! We were able to host a great Thanksgiving with family and enjoy time together in our new house. We are blessed with our beautiful daughter, and a little one on the way. I'm excited to enter this holiday season and get to see all of the magic through Emma Clare's eyes! Really makes you slow down and see how special this time is!

Oh, Baby!

We are excited to announce that we are expecting! A new baby Mullen will be entering the world June 2016! We are beyond excited! I started writing the below blog entry right when we found out, but did not want to make anything "public" until we had a good first report from the doctor (which we did!). I'll be waiting until our 12 week appointment to post anything on Facebook-but figured the few "followers" we had mostly know already! So, feel free to read my rants below if you wish! We appreciate lots of good vibes and prayers for a healthy pregnancy and baby!

Ok, won't be posting this one for a little while, but figured I'd get started on documenting things now! On October 14 took a pregnancy test and guess what, positive!  I'm still feeling pretty good (as of 10/14), just some food aversions. I hate the waiting game now though, we won't have our first appointment until November 12th. So until then, just eat healthy and pray that all is well and healthy!

We've told a small number of people, but after we have a good dr. appointment in November, we'll share with more people. I think we'll wait until Thanksgiving to make the official announcement. What a great thing to be thankful for!

I've already started a secret pintrest board and thinking of all the things to buy baby! So happy!

Waiting for the first doctor appointment is hard! Still feeling pretty good (although tired, I'm luck if I see 9pm most nights!). We have already started buying some stuff for baby (I know it is early, but I've gotten great deals!). We got a NEW crib for $65, and a used swing and bouncer seat for $5 each (still in great condition). We had borrowed a lot of stuff for Em, or donated things between moves, so we are starting over a bit! Trying to be a frugal as possible! Just over 2 weeks until we get to see this baby! Cannot wait!

Started listening to Christmas music! Made me so excited that NEXT Christmas we'll have a 6 month old! How crazy! Still feeling pretty good, just tired, some nausea and food aversions. But overall, pretty darn good considering! I can't believe I still have to wait over a week for our first appointment! Time is moving slowly for sure!

First appointment! Didn't think this day would ever come! We have a healthy baby! Heartrate 146 and everything is on track! So in love already! Morning sickness (mine is actually at night) is in full swing! Most nights I'm going to bed around 8 (when Em does) and just not feeling great. Good news is during the day I'm fine! Hoping that all starts letting up as I get closer to the second trimester.

Happy Halloween!

Yay! Halloween is OVER, so I can start listening to Christmas music! Don't even bother telling me to wait until Thanksgiving! Although I do not really like Halloween, it was super fun to see how excited Em got about the whole thing! A few pictures to enjoy. I just love this little girl to pieces! Weekend Fun

Sorry about the blurry pics-wasn't on my game this weekend I guess! We had tons of fun-Friday out for pizza and pac-man (Em that it was the coolest-so did Dad), Saturday we had a birthday party (Pony Party!) and Em got to ride a horse for the first time. I don't know what got in to our 3 year old this weekend, but she was SUPER crazy. I wish I had a quarter of her energy!

Happy Em!

The wedding weekend! Marissa and Adam tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony and reception! Everything was perfect. I hate even posting my pics, because I know the photographers took much better ones, but here are just a few. We were so proud of Em for making it up the aisle (after a melt down during the rehearsal...we had our concerns...). But she did great! Marissa looked beautiful and Adam handsome. Everyone had a great time!
