Happy Spring!

Too much time in the house-we are going stir crazy! (and I'm crazy enough as it is!!) So we decided to go for a little walk outside with Uncle Mark and Aunt Caitlin. What seemed like a good idea at the time, turned VERY cold about half way through...but EC was a trooper! I think we are ready for spring (and all the cute dresses/clothes EC has-I'm getting sick of the same old sweatshirts!!)

Happy Spring!

At Grandma Pat's playing with measuring cups and a slinky!
 No nap, No Nap!
 Happy Spring!

Mom, do you think we can move back to Savannah?

Hello? EC loves answering the phone!

Ok, first let's get the complaining out of the way. It's cold, I moved back from Savannah, GA, and it is almost April and still snowing...a lot. Ok, complaining done. I will say that the drive in to work this morning (although the roads were bad) was one of the most beautiful drives I've had. The snow was picturesque they way it was sticking to the trees, truly breathtaking...(would have been more breathtaking at , say, Christmas, but I said I was done complaining...).
Not so eventful weekend, just lots of hanging to with Grandmas. On Saturday, Emma Clare had a no nap protest (fun!) but was in good spirits despite the lack of sleep. Just a fun weekend of family and friends. Can't wait for daddy to join us!

Sappy, sappy, sappy

Sappy post alert. If you're not intrested, just move on right now! No hard feelings!

I saw this quote the other day, and it just stuck with me. It is just so true to how I feel right now! Emma Clare has been with us for almost a year, and I cannot imagine what my life was like before her! Every day I feel like my heart just aches for that little girl! I wish every day would be a little longer (the storyof a working mom I guess-it makes me so sad that I don't get to see her for than a couple of hours each day). And yes, there are times that I wish I'd get a solid 8 (heck, 6?) hours a sleep, and yes, money is tighter, I also have never been this happy. Emma Clare has made me happy, just happy. And although life can be more stressful now, she calms me down. Because at the end of the day, all that matters is that that little girl smiles and goes to bed each night knowing that she is loved.

I'm not one of those moms that wants my baby to stay a baby forever-I'm enjoying the jorney and what each day brings! So grow up, you little bugger! But know, that you always be my baby.

Ok, ok done being sappy! I'm allowed to once year year, right? :)

Bye Bye Dada!

Going on a walk with Nana!
Toy store with Dada! (can you believe that he didn't buy her anything?! Not that she needs any more toys...but I can never resist...)

Chris has left again and headed back to Savannah one last time! It was so great to have him here this week! We had a great week! Chris received multiple job offers from his interviews (way to go!) and we had lots of quality family time. Things are really starting to come together. I had to work all week, so I was sad I didn't get more time with everyone, but daddy and EC bonded! Can't wait to be back together in just a few months!

EC is growing up way to fast! Not only has she recently taken her first steps, but she's reached a few other milestones! She can climb up the stairs (VERY FAST), blows kisses, waives good-bye, gives hugs and kisses, points and says the following words (and knows what the mean...): mama, dada, nana, baba(bottle), bebe(baby) duog (dog), bye bye. Only recently has she been saying these words and actually meaning them. This morning she was crawling in her nursery and saw the diaper box and pointed and said bebe, bebe (about the baby on the box). So cute. She also is starting to show her toddler side...when something is taken away (due to not being safe) or she is moved (due to not being safe...like putting electrical codes in her mouth) she throws a little fit. Not cute EC, not cute. But she recovers quickly with a new distraction. We don't want any brats!

I wills say, each day I'm more and more in love!!

First cake and first steps!

Happy Birthday sweet baby girl! We are celebrating a little early so that daddy could be here. Not only did daddy come, but uncle Ray, Aunt Jill, Connor and Ryan came in firm Cincinnati. Lindsay and Dan came in from Columbus! EC was absolutely spoiled with gifts. We are very lucky to have such great friends and family!

EC also took her first unassisted steps! Right into daddy's arms. Absolutely the best moment ever.

Some bunny's turning 1

 Cake!

Ball Pit! Thanks Uncle A and Aunt M!

Loving her tent from Grandpa!

Mommy said I had to eat some apples after all of that cake...

Family Love!
Don't ask...

EC's a little unsure of this...

Making a Mess!

Sorry for the lack of blogging, I've been under the weather with the flu (serves me right for not getting a flu shot... I kept putting it off and putting it off. Bad Kerry!) I'm just so thankful that EC got a flu shot and still seems in good health! She is such an amazing little girl. She seems to have settled into a good sleeping schedule-2 naps (1 at 9am and one at 2pm) and then sleeping through the night from about 7:30pm-7am. Never thought I'd see this day! She is doing some amazing cruzing and loves using her walker. I'm guessing first steps are going to happen any moment! I can't believe that she is going to be 11mo old this weekend! How did that happen! In other news, we start swimming lessons on Sunday (provided that I'm feeling better! Say a quick prayer!!)

Enjoy the pictures! If there is one thing EC is good at, it is making a mess!

A weekend of Jordan! Celebrating the little guy turning 8!! Can't believe it!
