Emma Clare is for the most part an easy going child-but oh boy this Saturday she showed her true two year old self! She refused to nap in her bed (got out at least 10 times) and then proceed to throw several fits for the rest of the day since she was so tired from no nap. Yikes. Then didn't want to stay in her bed that night either, but only put up a small protest and eventually gave in I think from sheer exhaustion! Then Sunday-she was a dream child. Took a great nap, was a good listener and generally chill. She went to bed without a peep. I guess I can handle the terrible twos as long as they are only in daily doses (because let me tell you both Chris and I were about to loose our cool Saturday evening!). Regardless she is cuter than cute and I can't get enough of her (even when she is being a grumpy Gus!)

All Aboard!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! What a blessed day! We were able to spend time with family and friends this weekend and it made me so thankful to be close to home again. I miss all of our Savannah friends though! I have a bunch of pics on my camera, but of course did not upload them. I will try to remember, but here are a few from my phone (including pics of the big girl bed!).

Arts and Crafts time!

Big girl bed! (for the most part she is doing great with the transition!)
Why is the Easter bunny so creepy?

Big Girl Bed!

Our big news for the week is the Emma Clare is officially in her big girl bed! My awesome Aunt gave us the furniture and we got everything moved in on Sunday. Thinking that this would be a difficult transition, we did not move the crib out of her room (well...that paired with the fact that it does not fit out of the door and all of the screws are stripped so taking it apart is not an easy task). Honestly we thought we'd work on the transition next weekend, but for her nap we gave it a try, and she did great. And has done great the last two nights. She loves climbing in and out (although she stays in bed in the morning until I come and get her...we'll see how long that lasts). She did ask if she could eat dinner in bed. I'm not going to tell you our answer...Once we get the crib out officially I'll take pictures and post. EC had a great Saturday with Nana, including going to the library, Easter egg hung and a sleep over. I've posted some pics and videos below...only at Nana's! :) Hope everyone has a blessed week!
At least someone is happy about the snow...

Warm Weather!

A few shots below are Emma Clare's actual birthday (on April 2nd). This is like the second time in her life she has eaten fast food, she loved it of course! We went to Dairy Queen and had hot dogs and french fries and then topped the night off with a twist cone with sprinkles. Pretty epic when you are a two year old! This weekend Nana gave EC her birthday present-yes it is a mini cooper. What 2 year old doesn't have that? (EC, you are truly a spoiled girl!). She has not yet grasped that she needs to hit the pedal and stir...Daddy tried to show her (he ended up flipping the car). I'm sure she'll have it down by the end of the summer! Loving this weather...Stay Warm! :)
Yummy!! (Emma Clare LOVES ketchup!)

Go Daddy Go!!

A weekend of Jordan! Celebrating the little guy turning 8!! Can't believe it!
