Wow! It was a crazy week and weekend. It has been interesting processing that we are having a little boy (being that we are so use to our little girl) but I can honestly say that we are all excited (including Emma Clare! Thank goodness!). So, of course we had to go shopping for some clothes for our little guy this weekend, which made it all seem a lot more real! We are trying to figure out a name, but so far, no luck. I guess we are just going to have to go with Cullen Mullen. We also enjoyed some yummy food (see below) and just crazy times with Miss Em.

This is the outfit that Em choose to go to Giant Eagle in. Including the goggles. Awesome.
See all of those clothes! Got everything you see here for $15-over 50 onezies, 6 sleepers, 3 pairs of overalls, 3 jackets and about 15 pairs of pants along with some other random stuff. All second hand, but looks like new!

Just a glimpse into the dinner from Saturday. Chris made homemade chirizo stuffed dates, wrapped in bacon with a roasted red pepper sauce. Yep, pretty much as amazing as it sounds. I made just goat cheese with honey and smashed pistachios not as fancy but still very yummy!

It's A...

Boy!

I am so happy to announce our little peanut is a boy! So blessed. Both Chris and I are very happy...Em...well not so much. She says she really wanted a sister. But I'm sure she'll come around! We were all able to go to the ultrasound together this morning, which was very special. The doctor said that everything looks right on track and perfect. Baby boy is growing a few days ahead of my due date (Em was at this point too). So happy to have a healthy baby boy! Can't wait to meet you soon little guy! Now...time to start thinking of names!!

Nothing big to report. We spent lots of time this weekend just hanging out with friends, cooking, cleaning and doing things around the house. Em is hilarious, and we had a lot of fun just being silly all weekend.

Find out on Thursday if Baby Mullen 2 is a boy or a girl. Em only wants a girl, and has made it very clear that if it is a boy that she will not be taking care of him (haha ok, got it kid). So I'll update then!

Em asked this week how the baby got in Mommy's tummy. Being that she is 3, I'm not really ready for "the talk" so told her that when two people love each other, like mommy and daddy, God will sometimes help put a baby in mommy's tummy. She gave me a disgusted look and said "Did he at least wear gloves?". She is just too much sometimes!

Yes, it is winter and Em is in a summer dress. But check out the bling she's got going on in this pic!
Lou and Em (yes, Lou is the most tolerant Dog EVER as Em jumps on top of her for a pic.

Wow, first week back after 2 weeks off it TOUGH! But we all made it through! We spent the weekend with no plans, just doing what we wanted. It was kind of great not to have plans!

Em decorating her cupcakes!
Saturday was a great day for the zoo-nice weather!
Another bump post! Feeling pretty good-just big! We find out next week if we will be having a boy or girl! Cannot wait!

Super Quick Baby Post

Had my doctor appointment today. Everything looked get, heartbeat was 150. Can't wait until January 21 to find out the sex! Also scheduled the rest of my prenatal visits today...yikes. I have a feeling this is going to all sneak up on me! I'm feeling pretty good, a little bit of trouble sleeping and some heartburn, but most of my energy is back!

Last night when putting Em to bed, she asked me "Mom, will the baby be the size of a frog or like, a pillow". I said, "Well, closer to a pillow". Her response, "good". Then she asked "Does your tummy hurt when the baby kicks you?"  "No, not really." And Em said "What about when she is wearing shoes in there?". I said, "The baby had no shoes, or clothes on for that matter". Em's responded "She's naked?!" and was totally horrified. I love how 3 year old minds work! (and yes, Em is convinced we are having a girl...)

More pics!

I am beyond grateful for the two weeks off from work. It was so great to spend the time with our family and friends! We did lots of dinners, short trips and playing with toys! We are beyond blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives! A few more pics from the holidays!

16/17 week bump. Yep, it is growing. I finally feel like a regular human again, which is so nice!
Emmy really wants a cat (but she'll have to settle for Uncle Adams and Aunt Marissa's!)
Glittery Em!
