Happy Memorial Day!

Love long weekends! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I didn't have my phone much this weekend-and still need to send myself pictures to post, but wanted to be sure I got my thoughts down...you know for prosperity. Anyway, we kicked off the weekend at the rib cook off in Berea on Friday night. Ribs were ehhhh but there was a bouncy house, with a slide. I mean come on people, this is like toddler heaven. The difficult part was getting her to leave...you only get so long for $3. Then the rest of the night she was trying to make her way back, girl has a great sense of direction. Saturday we spent time at the zoo, which EC totally loved. She is at the perfect age for zoo trips now! In the evening we went and hung out with Tom and Kate. EC almost did a good job sharing, so that's worth noting. Sunday we spent a great day with family at Mentor Headlands. Despite the fridged water of lake Erie, EC had a blast going in the water, throwing rocks and building sand castles. Monday was a day of work for Daddy (who thought it was a good idea to take two accelerated grad school classes at the end of the school year?) so EC and I spent some time with Grandma. Then EC headed off to Uncle Opa (Mark) and Aunt Caitlin's house so I could get some house work done. All in all, a great weekend! Let's do it again soon!
Lions! EC totally loved the Lions!
This is actually from last weekend, but too cute not to share. Who dressed her? (haha Nana)
Pure bliss!

Playground Fun!

Ok, when did my little baby get so big! She is such a good girl, and I just love her. We had a ton of fun Sunday at the playground (well, two playgrounds actually). This girl LOVES the playground. She goes on everything! I am so impressed with her ability to climb and lack of fear (but also very careful). I think we were at the playgrounds for like 4 hours on Sunday! Saturday was a little rainy, so we chilled at the library for a bit with Nana. Friday Chris and I had "date night" with Marissa and Adam for Adam's birthday. Mama Santa's, Art Museem and hookah bar. Perfect night. Perfect weekend!
Slide Time (park 1). As you can see the slide is way off the ground. Once EC decided to start going head first I had to stand at the bottom...she may or may not have gotten a mouth full of mulch...once...or twice.)
Big girl, no big deal.

Head First! (at least this slide is closer to the ground!)
In the words of EC "Don't worry Nana, I'll be careful). And she climbed up the whole  thing with no help, several times!

Date Night!

Happy Mother's Day!

What a beautiful weekend! Emma Clare and I had rough start. Friday night shortly after putting her to bed, I heard crying. Went to her room and she had thrown up. Then I picked her up and she threw up ALL OVER ME-even in my ear. It took great effort not to puke myself, but I managed. Poor little thing just kept telling me "I choke mommy I choke." She ended up being fine (no fever or anything) but I was a nervous wreck all night (and Chris was gone for the night at a draft party). I think I checked on her like 9 times and "slept" with the monitor on. But all is well that ends well! Saturday my Mom and I hung out and get mani's and pedi's. It was great just to relax a bit! Sunday EC and Daddy let me sleep in (until 8:30! pure bliss). Then we went to Little Italy for brunch and the Natural History Museum. Anyone from Cleveland has to remember climbing on that dinosaur outside. Well let me tell you, it is slightly nerve wracking watching your 2 year old climb it. That this is freaking huge! We then cooked out and my mom came over Sunday evening. Great weekend! Can't wait for the long weekend coming up soon!
I can do it myself mom! :)
Love these two!
I guess that is one way to nap!
I told her to smile...this is what I got! Seems about right!

Weekend Love!

I just love the weekends. I need a job where I have at least a 4 day weekend, every weekend. Oh and with the same pay and benefits (please let me know if you have any leads). A great weekend! Saturday we hung around and ran some errands and had Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Paul over for pizza (as a thank you for our big girl bed!). Chris made deep dish pizza on the Green Egg-omg out of this world! Sunday we hung out with Nana and enjoyed the outdoors! EC even got to get her face painted for the first time-very cute and I've never seen her sit so still. We planted some herbs and tomatoes and spent most of the day outside. Great weekend overall! EC is still choosing not to nap...but I'm trying to take it as a positive since this means we get to spend more time together...right?

Face Painting!

Mommy and EC!
New Deck Chris built (this was just before it was finished...so I'll get some better shots soon.

A weekend of Jordan! Celebrating the little guy turning 8!! Can't believe it!
