Poor EC. Not that you'd know if from the pics below, but EC had an awful ear infection. We thought last weekend something might be up since she was having bad sleeping, but seemed fine during the day. On Wednesday night, she hardly slept at all, and kept pulling her ear. Yep, awful ear infection, confirmed by the doctor. We started meds on Thursday (oh, btw my 30th...yep, I'm old now) and she had a pretty miserable day. Which ended in me covered in throw up (her's not mine. Happy Birthday). Friday she was in much better spirits and by Saturday she was once again a maniac. So Sunday we spent some quality time at the splash pad. She was pretty much in heaven! Love that little girly girl!

Loving the sunshine (who isn't!) EC had a fun weekend. We got to hang out with Caitlin and Uncle Opa on Friday night, dance the day away at Porchfest on Saturday and hang out with the whole family on Sunday to celebrate my birthday. It was really a perfect weekend. Oh, except for EC had a very rough sleeping weekend (which meant mommy and daddy were on the sleepy side). On Saturday she woke up at 6am (totally not ok for the weekend kid!) then Saturday night she was up from about 1-4am and threw up. She seemed totally fine after that, so maybe just a little bug. Then Monday night EC wanted nothing to do with going to bed-and didn't fall asleep until about 10 (usually she is sleeping by 7:30). Not sure if it is a little bug, or if she is just being a bugger.

Just love this little girl! So beautiful! :)

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all of the great daddy's out there! Especially Emma Clare's Daddy, he is pretty amazing! We had a great weekend just hanging out. Chris and I went to the Zac Brown Band concert on Saturday (early birthday present for me!) and it was AMAZING. Such a good show! We had great seats.

Fun Times

As always, lots of fun in the Mullen household! Friday we went and visited Daddy at school (he had 8th grade graduation) and had some quality playground time. We had a baby shower on Saturday (I have pictures-but on my camera! Our computer is getting fixed, so once that is done I'll upload) and Chris and EC came towards the end to play. Sunday our friends came up from Columbus to hang out-we chilled at the Art Museum, went downtown for a bit and then played at our house. It was kind of rainy day, but we made the best of it for sure! Monday-gymnastics again (EC had a little bit of a listening problem...but she is still doing really well for being 2) then cook out with summer staff at BW. Daddy even got to join after he got out of class! Loving summer! YAY!

Blessed

I know that I say it time and time again, but I just love this little girl. Even though she has made a recent habit of waking up at 5:30am (extra time to cuddle, right, RIGHT?). As always we jammed way too much in to the weekend, but hey, we really like fun. On Saturday morning we went to the art museum to the kids section (studio play) and EC had an AMAZING time. She even walked around the museum a bit (with "museum hands" meaning she had to hold her hands together-she did great but insisted we do the same. We looked like we were all praying, and I kind of was praying that she wouldn't touch anything!). The then checked out a new ice cream place where they freeze your ice cream on the spot with nitrous oxide-pretty darn cool, no pun intended. We then celebrated Danny's 21st birthday with family Saturday evening. EC hung out with Nana Sunday morning so I could get some housework done, and Chris could get his school work done (have I told you how ready I am for Chris' grad school classes to be over? 4 days a week night class may drive me completely crazy...I know its no picnic for him either!). Sunday afternoon we spent time at Coe Lake and the park and quality time with the hose. Oh, and since I didn't post on Monday-EC is back in gymnatics. It is a new class, and she is such a super star. None of the other kids have taken classes before, so were a little shy and scared. Emmy volunteered to go first for everything and did a rockstar job. She is getting crazy good and everything! She can do the balance beam forward and backward pretty much by herself, front roll, assisted backroll, handstand unassisted with the mat and can hold herself on the bar forever! She also loved doing assisted flips, both forward and backward, on the bar. I think that is her favorite. Such a fun weekend, great weather, can't wait to do it again!

Who gave the 2 year old a hose? I wish you could have heard the laugh she got from this!
