I think we are all feeling, ick. We are sick of COVID (who isn't...) and Chris and I are super stressed at work (things just changing daily-we have awesome co-workers, but it's just a lot!) and I'm sure that is translating to being stressed at home. We are all ready for a break for sure!

Well, even I have to admit it is a little hard to feel Christmasy with 75 degree weather this weekend! We got to enjoy LOTS of time outside, and even put up the Christmas lights (who wants to wait until it is cold and snowy!). Jordan has finished up his quarantine and gets to be back to school this week (WAHOO!). He also gets new AFOs on Wednesday (he grew out of his current braces in August-so excited to have some that fit once again). Em got her cast off and now just has a brace for 2 weeks. She was really nervous about using her arm at first, but already getting stronger! Basketball starts Friday-she's excited! 

Em and Chris had "date" night on Sunday (church and Chipotle-what could be better?). 

We are all counting down the days until Thanksgiving break!  

 

Happy Halloween! Poor Jordan did not get to participate in the Halloween festivities due to being in quarantine (one of his teachers was diagnosed with Covid) but Em shared all of her candy. We totally started to decorate for Christmas on Sunday because we all needed a little joy in our lives... 

 

Fun weekend! We had Em's final volleyball games, and while she missed most of the season due to her broken arm, she still made it to EVERY game to cheer on her team! We also had a fun mother/daughter game, so cute! We also had a fun fall weekend watching football and carving pumpkins.

 

Not a lot to report! This weekend we worked on some house projects. Getting house projects done with two kiddos and two dogs is no joke...but it always feels so good when it's done!! 

I got to spend 2 hours at the DMV getting my divers license and tags renewed. After that line, I figured why not wait some more and go vote. The voting line actually moved much quicker...so happy to have that done! 

 

Highlights of the week- Chris and I celebrated 13 years of marriage, yay! Took the kiddos apple picking-very fall. Jordan starts in person preschool today-he is just a little bit excited! Jordan also had his first day of Taekwondo, which he absolutely LOVED! Em is doing well with her cast-we hope to get a shorter one put on as long as xrays look good this week! Fingers crossed!

When I came home from work on Friday, this is what greeted me? Can he be any cuter! Poor Chris couldn't feel his arm, but let him sleep like that for over an hour...

13 Years!

 

Happy October!! 

Chris and I celebrate our 13 year wedding anniversary this week! Wow, that is CRAZY! We went out for a quick dinner (first time eating dinner out inside of a restaurant since COVID). Its always nice to eat out and actually talk! Jordan got to spend some time with Grandma and Jim and Em went to the drive in movies with a friend. 

This weekend was pretty full! We went to Em's volleyball game to cheer on her team, then over to fall fest where Em sang at outdoor mass. Sunday was full of football and eating good food with friends and family. Throw in grocery shopping and cleaning and it was a full weekend!
