We are officially done with casting! Jordan was such a trooper, and we are seeing really good progress already. He starts back at preschool today!

This weekend we had a crazy Saturday filled with soccer, errands and family parties. Sunday we  (finally) took the crib out of Jordan's room. He is officially a big boy!

Wow, can't believe we are in our last week of therapy for Jo! We are already seeing a huge improvement, and are excited to see the continued growth this week!

Kiddos are doing great! Chris and I had a crazy Saturday catering a wedding for 100. All turned out well-but it was a lot of work!

Already ready for the weekend cast free!!

We made it! One week down. Just as we were told, the first 3 days of casting were the hardest. Jordan was just so exhausted (remapping the brain is tiring!). But, once we got over the hump, he's been in good spirits! We already see him having way more confidence in his left hand! He also got new braces-which he is still getting use to. The hardest part is finding shoes-we have to get them so big and wide for the braces to fit, its then an adjustment for him to learn to walk again in them. But he's doing great.

We had a super fun long weekend. We celebrated Grandma's birthday, went to the Natural History Museum (Jordan LOVES dinosaurs!) and played a ton at the house. Also, Jordan has officially transitioned to his big boy bed full time. No more crib! Now, I have to actually decorate his room since it is not a sea of furniture (we had the crib and bed in there. Also the changing table that I've moved out. We are going to start potty training when casting is done!).

Em is doing great. She is a rock star at school. She had soccer on Saturday and scored 2 goals.

So happy for a SHORT work week!

Jordan has started his three week Constriction Induced Movement Therapy.  He'll be casted on his right (good) arm for 3 weeks and have 3 hours of outpatient therapy per day. The hope is to re-work his brain in to using his left arm. Currently he has about 35% usage in his left arm-our hope is to get that number up, and keep it up.He's really being a trooper so far! Yesterday he had his 2 casts made (one purple and one red) and did his baseline assessment. Today he'll have water therapy, music therapy and occupational therapy. Sadly, he'll be missing preschool for the next three weeks :( .

Em is rocking second grade. Exhausted after the first week, but loves seeing her friends more and her teachers.

We are attempting to figure out our new normal with school, activities and doctor/therapy appointments. Now that Jordan is in school, he officially is not going to daycare (grandma and Nana are watching him after school each day)-so that's a huge blessing.  We'll figure it all out!

We made it through the first days of school! Jordan  had his first day of preschool. He'll be going Monday-Friday in the mornings and spending his afternoons with Grandma or Nana. He loves everything about school (which we knew he would!). He is in an intervention program where half of the kids are on IEPs like him and half are "peer model" students.

Em had her first day of second grade. She loves her teacher and is ready to be back at school.

Chris' first few days were a bit rough, but he'll be back in the swing of things!

These littles keep growing and amazing me everyday!

Not sure where the summer has gone! We mostly wrapped up back to school shopping (Em just needs some new jumpers for school that I hope I can pick up at the used uniform sale on Sunday). Jordan is super excited about starting school, Em is kind of excited. Both kiddos got new backpacks, shoes clothes and supplies. Wahoo!

Below is our trip to the playground (trying to tire them out before Target). And my failed photography shoot. But they're still cute!

Summer is quickly wrapping up! Em made the freshman volleyball team--I couldn't be more proud of all the hard work she put in this summe...
