Big news for Em, she is riding a two wheel bike, with no training wheels! I will try to get on video tonight, but this girl just amazes me more and more each day. We had a fun weekend hanging out around the house and got to celebrate Ella's baptism on Sunday. Although this age comes with challenges (no doubt) I am having so much fun seeing the wonderful young lady Em is becoming.

Rainy Weekend!

It was kind of a rainy weekend, but we got to enjoy some fun family time. Saturday we took Grandma Pat out for a belated birthday lunch then Em, Chris and I went swimming at the rec. Ended the day bringing dinner to Denise and Tom. Sunday I tried to keep Em out of the house as much as possible so Chris could "enjoy" some football. Browns didn't play well, so that was kind of a bust! We then had our neighbors over for the first round of fall chili! Overall, fun weekend!

It was so nice to have a long weekend, and extra time with family and friends. Em got to meet Ella Paige (she was ecstatic!) We did lots of swimming and playing in the (HOT!) sun. Doesn't feel like fall yet, but I don't mind hanging on a little longer to summer!

The HUGE bear from Aunt Caitlin and Uncle Opa!Em took a wonderful 3 hour nap on that sucker! 

Em had her first day of school this week, she did great (as expected) but was little sad (which was not expected!). She seems to really like school so far, and is quickly adjusting! She is doing well with her surgery last week, but has had some issues sleeping (up for a few hours a night) but that seems to be getting better too!

Uncle Ray was in town this weekend for my Grandma's funeral, which was a sad occasion but we really enjoyed his company! Em hasn't stopped talking about him!

Whew, what a week! It was opening week at BW, so I was super busy, although check in went better than expected. On the work front, I was also recently promoted to Assistant Director of Residence Life/Commuter Services (as of August 1) so that is exciting!

Ok, now back to Em. Em  had her to get her adenoids removed and ear tubes. We prepared for the worse, but she did great. She has had a little throat pain, but other than that has been feeling great. Friday was funny, the doctor said she'd likely sleep all day and have no appetite. Nope, she ate a ton and had lots of energy-really our challenge was to not let her jump on her trampoline!  "Taking it easy" for 14 days doesn't seem like it is in the cards for this one!

Em starts school Wednesday-wow! Can't believe that time has come!

Camel Ride!

Em had another weekend filled with firsts! She was able to go to the Browns (preseason) game with her Dad and played Alien mini-golf. She did great at the game, made it all the way to half time (it didn't start until 8) which meant she didn't get to bed until 11. Yikes! She had another late night on Saturday, which kind of set Sunday up as a perfect storm in 3 year old land...but we made it through! This week (Friday) Em gets her ear tubes and adenoids out-so keep us in thoughts and prayers! I'm sure she'll do great, but I'm a little nervous about the whole thing!
