Moving Day!

So, we moved! Yep it was a long, crazy weekend! We kicked it off Thursday night with Em crying and miserable with an ear infection (yes, that is the second one in a month now that she is without a tube...). Poor baby had a rough few days (and mommy had little sleep) but she doing well now. We still have a few things at the old house but should have very thing finished off this weeknight! Enjoy the pics! I still need to take a pick of the family and upstairs rooms-but they are still a work in progress so next week!

Bathroom makeover-it is really difficult to take a pic of the bathroom..but we painted and put down new flooring, new vanity and new toilet. Basically updated everything but the shower (which was in good condition).

Kitchen! Painted the walls, updated the hardware. Still need to decorate a bit (oh and maybe get some new stools!). Our hope is within the year to lay new tile flooring and maybe get new counter tops. The cabinets are in great shape and all the appliances are new (except for the fridge-which we'll just be keeping until it die and then replace). So, still a bit of a work in progress but we are LOVING the space! 

Home Sweet Home!

Ok, so it is official! We are homeowners once again! Look at that beautiful house! We are so far beyond excited. This is the perfect house for us. I cannot wait to get everything moved in and really start to make it feel like home. I know this house is going to bring us lots of really great memories! As you can see below, we are crazy, and the projects have already started. Saturday started with overhauling the RED RED RED walls, to a nice soft blue/grey. Oh and ripping out a toilet and vanity in the downstairs bathroom (not pictured-oh and not done yet...). Sunday came and a wall came down to make a HUGE master bedroom. It makes a big difference! As I'm sure you can imagine! Family and friends really pitched in to help us out-from helping with the work to entertaining the little one (who is so beautiful, and smart, and is going to be 3, and and I love, ok I could go on forever about that little girl!). This weekend is the "big" move, so lots more pictures next week!

And after. Much better, at least in my humble opinion! Oh, and wondering how many coats of paint to cover that red? One. That is right folks! If you need to paint over a dark color, I would HIGHLY recommend Behr Marquee. Amazing product! Worth the extra cash spent for sure!

Crazy busy week! Work has been pretty busy, and we are attempting to get the house packed up! We'll be signing the closing paperwork tonight, and should get the keys tomorrow, as long as all goes well. Fingers crossed! Em is cuter than ever, always having fun and great imagination. We are totally in need of some good weather and getting out of the house! As you can see from the pictures below...Em is taking over the joint!

Happy Birthday!

We had a great time celebrating Chris' 32nd birthday! I wish I would have gotten more pic! We all had a "cold" day Friday, so we took Em to the science center and out to lunch. Lots of fun! Friday night, we were able to get together with friends and family and go out to dinner, to the Lake Erie Monster's game and out for some drinks. The hockey game was a lot more fun then I thought it would be! Saturday we attending a chili challenge at BW-Chris didn't win, but I loved his chili and so did Em. Sunday were got to celebrate his birthday with family. All and all a pretty awesome weekend. Notice how I did not mention ANY packing in all of that? Yeah, that is because we still haven't started...yikes this is going to be a long couple of weeks!!

Nana brought over glitter to make crowns with Em on Friday night. So Saturday I put the little one to work! I'm pretty sure there is still a pound of glitter in our house! (oh, and btw she did this on her own-but she did do a great job!).

Another cold weekend! We are starting to go a little stir crazy here for sure! And I keep forgetting to take pictures, but we really are trying to have fun! Saturday (Happy Valentine's Day!) Chris had a math competition all morning, so Em and I just chilled in our PJs. Which is heaven for her, because EVERY MORNING she tells me to put my PJs back on. She is going through a phase now where she really, really does not want me to go to work each morning. So yeah, my heart breaks a little each day. We braved the weather Saturday and headed out to Nanas, not 2 mins after we walked through the door Em starting crying that her ear hurt. We headed up to CVS minuet clinic-and you guessed it another ear infection. Good news is antibiotics and Tylenol do wonders for this girl, and we are on the mend. Oh, and the tube fell out of her ear! Not sure if that was causing some of the discomfort, but we are one tube down now. Sunday we braved the cold (as much as we could) to check out ice sculptures in Medina. It was cool, and cold! Can't wait to call Medina our home-we close on our house on March 6th! We have some work we need to do before actually moving, but excited to get started and have a place to call our home!

Another week has flown by! We are getting closer and closer to closing on our new house. This means we should be starting to pack and going through all of the stuff we've accumulated, but instead we had a fun weekend of hanging out! Haha, maybe next weekend we'll get our act together!

Wow! Can you believe all of this snow! Em does love it, but I think the rest of us are over it! In good news, our inspection on the new house went GREAT! We are beyond excited to get the ball rolling forward! Enjoy the pics below!
